ISO 20022 / IMPLEMENTATION & INTEGRATION

ISO 20022
implementation.

Financial messages. Precisely connected.

We implement ISO 20022 workflows between your business systems and banking channels — from data mapping and payment files to status handling and statement reconciliation.

Scoped to your bank, message versions and operating process.

01 / THE SCOPE

ISO 20022 integration.
Built around your ERP.

A useful integration starts with the details: the data you have, the bank profile you need and the way your team actually works.

01

ERP data mapping.

FROM SOURCE DATA TO STRUCTURED MESSAGES

Map ERP exports, CSV files or application data to the agreed ISO 20022 message version. Define required fields, identifiers and transformation rules in a documented data contract.

02

Payment-file validation.

SCHEMAS, BUSINESS RULES & BANK PROFILES

Check XML against the relevant XSD, message constraints and bank-specific requirements. Surface clear, actionable errors so your team can resolve data issues before submission.

03

Handle the response.

STATUS HANDLING & EXCEPTION WORKFLOWS

Parse available payment status reports and connect them to the original instructions. Make rejections and uncertain outcomes visible, with controlled exception handling and traceable processing.

04

Bank-statement reconciliation.

STATEMENTS THAT CONNECT BACK TO YOUR RECORDS

Import camt.053 bank statements, map transaction references and define matching rules for your records. Bring unmatched items into a review workflow that your finance team can understand.

02 / THE MESSAGE FLOW

The right message.
At each step.

Payment initiation, status reporting and account statements serve different purposes. We connect them into a coherent workflow.

BUSINESS → BANKpain.001

Initiate a credit transfer.

Generate payment instructions from your source data, with the fields and structure required by the agreed bank profile.

BANK → BUSINESSpain.002

Understand the status.

Read payment status reports, link responses to instructions and surface rejected records. Acceptance and settlement remain distinct.

BANK → BUSINESScamt.053

Work with the statement.

Parse account statements and use transaction details and references to support reconciliation and exception review.

Message availability, versions and usage rules depend on your bank and payment scheme. Debit/credit notifications via camt.054 can also be scoped where available. See the official ISO 20022 message catalogue.

03 / HOW WE DELIVER

Start with one
well-defined flow.

A focused first implementation. A documented scope, working software and clear acceptance criteria at every stage.

  1. 01 / DISCOVER

    Define the fit.

Review sample exports, existing ERP capabilities and bank specifications. Identify the gap and agree the first workflow.

OUTPUT / Scope & data contract
  2. 02 / IMPLEMENT

    Build the connection.

Develop mappings, generators, parsers and validation rules. Make processing traceable and errors useful to the operator.

    OUTPUT / Working integration
  3. 03 / VERIFY

    Test the details.

Exercise valid files, invalid records and reconciliation exceptions. Coordinate bank-channel testing and user acceptance within the agreed scope.

OUTPUT / Test evidence & UAT
  4. 04 / HAND OVER

    Make it operable.

Deliver documented mappings, configuration and an operating guide. Agree ownership, support and change handling with your team.

    OUTPUT / Documentation & handover

AN ENGINEERING EXAMPLE

From source records
to useful validation.

A small, downloadable example of a data contract and an exception report. Every record is synthetic.

SOURCE CHECKS1 record passes the demo checks.

Two records need review: one has no beneficiary country, one repeats a source payment reference.

NEXT GATEBank-profile validation.

These source checks do not validate an ISO message. XSD, message constraints and the bank’s usage rules remain to be tested.

This example illustrates implementation decisions. Country-required and duplicate-reference checks are demo policies, not universal ISO 20022 rules. Paths omit outer message containers; the message version is intentionally unspecified. No payment XML is generated, and no bank acceptance or settlement is asserted.

PRACTICAL IMPLEMENTATION GUIDES

Work through
the difficult details.

Technical guidance for teams connecting business systems, payment files and bank reporting.

A FEW USEFUL DETAILS

Clarity before
the first line of code.

What do you need to scope an implementation?

Your ERP or source system, the bank and channel you use, the required message versions and a description of the workflow. We agree how to exchange specifications and anonymised sample files during discovery.

Is valid XML enough for bank acceptance?

Schema validation is one layer. Message constraints, bank usage rules, required data and channel testing also matter. We scope validation against the agreed requirements and verify the workflow through testing.

Does the integration execute payments?

The initial scope can focus on file preparation, status handling and statement import, with your team submitting and authorising payments in its existing bank channel. Direct bank connectivity is assessed separately, including access and authorisation requirements.

Can you work with our existing ERP setup?

Yes. We start by reviewing its native capabilities and configuration. Where a gap remains, we can implement a focused adapter or workflow around the existing system. The right outcome may also be a configuration change.

YOUR SYSTEMS. YOUR NEXT CONNECTION.

Let’s make
the details work.

Tell us your ERP or source system, bank channel, required message versions and the issue you need to solve. We’ll agree how to review specifications and anonymised samples during discovery.
